    Role Description The Heavy Equipment Operator is a full-time, on-site position based in Post Falls, ID. This role is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and other machinery to complete excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and material handling tasks. Day-to-day duties include reading grade stakes or site plans, following directions from supervisors, performing basic equipment inspections, and reporting any mechanical issues. The operator will work closely with crew members to ensure work is completed to specification, on schedule, and in compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role may involve working in varying weather conditions, on uneven terrain, and requires consistent adherence to company safety policies and procedures.

    Qualifications

    • \n
    • Demonstrated skills in Equipment Operation and Heavy Equipment, including safe use of excavators, loaders, and similar machinery.
    • \n
    • Experience with Excavation tasks, such as trenching, grading, and site preparation.
    • \n
    • Knowledge of Equipment Maintenance, including daily inspections, basic troubleshooting, and reporting of mechanical issues.
    • \n
    • Familiarity with Used Equipment operation and care, ensuring reliable performance and safety.
    • \n
    • Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and willingness to follow all safety guidelines.
    • \n
    • Ability to read and follow instructions, site plans, and grade stakes; good communication and teamwork skills.
    • \n
    • Physical ability to work outdoors in various conditions, lift moderate loads, and remain on equipment for extended periods.
    • \n
    • Previous experience as a heavy equipment operator preferred
