Job Summary
Responsible for safely operating and maintaining heavy equipment such as trench excavators, backhoes, and loaders for underground utility projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment, locate underground utilities, perform trench excavation and backfill, and set shoring in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Ensure safety by avoiding hazards, monitoring operations, and preparing equipment daily.
- Follow proper procedures for equipment changes, grading, and adhering to safety protocols.
- Work outdoors in Arizona heat, with flexibility for nights, weekends, and overtime.
- Maintain effective communication, follow safety laws, and operate equipment responsibly.
Required Skills & Abilities
High school diploma, 3+ years of utility heavy equipment experience, knowledge of underground utilities, OSHA safety understanding, and physical ability to perform job duties. Must have reliable transportation and ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions.
