Position Summary
The Heavy Equipment Operator - Utilities plays a crucial role in the construction and maintenance of utility infrastructure, ensuring that essential services are delivered efficiently and safely. - Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and bulldozers for the installation and maintenance of utility lines.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with project managers and other operators to plan and execute utility projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and any incidents that occur during operations.

- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery for tasks such as trenching and material handling.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid heavy equipment operator's license or certification.
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a utility or construction setting
- Experience with specific utility installation techniques and equipment. (Preferred)
- Additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation or safety training. (Preferred)
