TradeWorX is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators for commercial site construction projects in the Dover, Delaware area. Operators will be working with Komatsu equipment in active construction environments requiring precision operation around underground utilities, existing infrastructure, and tight-access work zones. Skid loader experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
Operate Komatsu excavators, loaders, skid steers, and related earthmoving equipment
Perform excavation, backfilling, grading, trenching, and material handling operations
Safely maneuver equipment around marked utilities, structures, and active jobsite personnel
Read site conditions and maintain production efficiency while minimizing ground disturbance
Assist with utility installation support, site preparation, and rough/fine grading activities
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report mechanical or safety concerns immediately
Maintain compliance with all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
Coordinate with foremen, labor crews, and grade personnel to ensure workflow accuracy
Requirements
Proven experience operating heavy equipment on commercial or civil construction projects
Strong understanding of utility awareness and safe excavation practices
Ability to operate efficiently in confined or obstacle-heavy work areas
Experience with skid loaders preferred
Ability to follow grades, stakes, and operator hand signals
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Ability to work overtime as project demands require
