We are looking for an experienced Service Trainer & Technical Support Specialist who thrives on sharing knowledge, solving technical challenges, and elevating technician capability across the organization.

This unique role combines technical training, remote diagnostics, and hands-on expertise to strengthen our service teams and support customers across our network.

What You'll Do

Deliver OEM-Certified Technical Training

As an OEM Approved Dealer Trainer, you will:

  • Deliver certified OEM technical training to dealership technicians

  • Lead classroom, online, and hands-on shop training sessions

  • Utilize OEM training materials including manuals, schematics, diagnostics, and Web Academy modules

  • Ensure training meets OEM standards and audit requirements

  • Track technician progress, training completions, and course results

  • Maintain required OEM certifications and attend train-the-trainer sessions

  • Support technician development plans and career progression


Provide Technical Service Support

You will serve as a trusted technical resource for technicians and customers, helping solve complex equipment challenges.

Responsibilities include:

  • Remote troubleshooting and diagnostics using OEM software

  • Providing repair guidance via phone, video, and schematics

  • Interpreting fault codes and identifying corrective actions

  • Performing remote software updates and calibrations

  • Monitoring equipment health through telematics tools

  • Supporting technicians in resolving difficult service cases


Drive Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvement

  • Develop internal training guides, reference materials, and technical resources

  • Identify recurring issues and recommend training solutions

  • Support onboarding and development of new technicians

  • Contribute to service efficiency and technical accuracy initiatives


Collaborate Across the Organization

  • Work closely with Service Leadership, Parts, Sales, and Product Support teams

  • Act as a liaison between technicians and OEM training partners

  • Recommend preventative maintenance, service work, and parts solutions based on diagnostic insights


What We're Looking For

Experience

  • 710 years of heavy equipment service experience preferred

  • Strong troubleshooting experience with hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems

  • Experience reading service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data

  • Prior training, mentoring, or instructional experience strongly preferred

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 2-year Diesel, Ag, Automotive, or Heavy Equipment Technology degree or equivalent experience preferred

Skills

  • Strong communication and teaching ability

  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic thinking

  • Comfortable using diagnostic software, Excel, Word, and digital learning platforms

  • Self-motivated, professional, and highly organized


Travel

This role requires regular travel to dealership locations for training delivery and OEM certification events.

  • Estimated 12 weeksper month
