Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician Level II or III to join our team to support our off road heavy equipment shop. This role will involve maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment including Dozers, Loaders, Excavators, Pumps, and more, primarily from top brands like CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, Rokbak, and Hitachi located in Butner, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Utilize CAT ET, CAT Vision Link, JD Link, and other diagnostic software for troubleshooting and repairs. This includes after treatment, fuel systems diagnostics and computer programming.
- Maintain a high standard of safety and quality in all work performed.
- Ensure all equipment is serviced and repaired in a timely manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-7 years of experience working on heavy equipment (CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, Rokbak, Hitachi).
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, Caterpillar, John Deere, etc.) are highly desirable.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Certificate or Degree program from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- Hydraulic Experience: Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and repair.
- A/C Experience: Experience in repairing and maintaining A/C systems in heavy equipment.
- Welding Experience: Ability to perform basic welding repairs as needed.
- Diagnostic Software Proficiency: CAT ET, CAT Vision Link, JD Link, and other diagnostic tools.
- License: Current North Carolina Driver’s License required; A valid CDL is preferred.
