Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician Level III or IV to join our team to support our Contracting Divisions maintenance needs. This role will involve maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment including Lowboys, Flatbeds, Water Trucks and Dump Trucks located in our Butner, NC shop.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Utilize diagnostic software for troubleshooting and repairs. This includes after treatment, fuel systems diagnostics and computer programming.
- Maintain a high standard of safety and quality in all work performed.
- Ensure all equipment is serviced and repaired in a timely manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 6-10+ years of experience working on heavy equipment.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications are highly desirable.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Certificate or Degree program from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- Hydraulic Experience: Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and repair.
- A/C Experience: Experience in repairing and maintaining A/C systems in heavy equipment.
- Welding Experience: Ability to perform basic welding repairs as needed.
- License: Current North Carolina Driver’s License required; A valid CDL is preferred.

- Hourly Pay: $35 - $50 per hour depending on experience, paid weekly.
- Work Schedule: 50-60 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with alternating Saturdays as needed.
