TOPS Staffing is hiring an experienced
Heavy Equipment & Truck Mechanic
for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established industrial contractor serving the greater Pittsburgh area.
This is a hands-on position working on a wide variety of heavy equipment, commercial trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. In addition to shop repairs, you'll occasionally use a company service truck to perform repairs at local customer job sites.

Pay & Schedule
Direct Hire
Pay: Up to $36.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule Options:
- - Monday-Friday (5 x 8-hour shifts)
- Monday-Thursday (4 x 10-hour shifts
- Occasional overtime available
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, commercial trucks, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and DOT/Class 7 inspections
- Repair diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical components
- Perform field service repairs using a company service truck when needed
- Complete repair orders, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment, diesel truck, or fleet maintenance experience
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience working on diesel engines and hydraulic systems
- Valid Class B CDL required
- Class A CDL is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs
