Heavy Industrial - Welder

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Welder to join our client's team in the heavy industrial sector. In this role, you will contribute to performing MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipes, assembling pipe sections through precision pipe-to-pipe welding, and maintaining a clean and safe welding station.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipes.
• Weld couplings onto pipes and assemble pipe sections through precision pipe-to-pipe welding.
• Inspect work for defects, alignment of fittings, and check for bad seams or splits in pipes.
• Maintain a clean and safe welding station while conforming to all safety and quality standards.
• Report all equipment malfunctions and safety issues that require repairs.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of welding and fabrication experience; must be able to hit the ground running with no training.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• General reading and writing skills, as well as basic computer skills. (All training is online in Workday.)

Preferred Qualifications (if any)

• Experience with specialty welding tasks on spool pieces, pipes, etc.
