The Role
We are seeking an experienced and self-driven Heavy Maintenance Lead Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for leading and executing petroleum system maintenance projects that fall outside of standard service and new construction scopes. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can independently manage field work, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards without direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and perform heavy maintenance work on petroleum fueling systems at commercial and retail sites
Execute repairs and replacements including, but not limited to:
Spill bucket repair and replacement
STP (Submersible Turbine Pump) repair and replacement
Containment sump repairs and upgrades
Drop tube replacements
Underground and aboveground piping repairs
Diagnose system issues and develop effective field solutions with minimal guidance
Mobilize, manage, and complete jobs independently or with small crews
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols
Coordinate with project managers, customers, and inspectors as needed
Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, photos, and material tracking
Identify additional repair needs and communicate potential change orders or scope gaps
Uphold jobsite safety standards, including proper PPE use and hazard recognition
