The Heavy Rental Maintenance Manager is responsible for
leading the growth and development of Rental Fleet On and Off Yard repair and maintenance capabilities. This service team is responsible for the maximization of Heavy Rental fleet rental revenue by providing customers with equipment ready for duty, ensuring positive customer rental repair experience, while minimizing maintenance and repair expense. The Manager hires, trains, and leads the Rental Fleet Supervisors who lead the on Yard Maintenance teams. This position will also create and manage the process that results in an exceptional Off Yard customer repair experience. Development and management of the Off Yard customer experience will require collaboration, organizational structure design to achieve desired outcomes, and customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities
· Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
· Hires, develops, evaluates, and promotes effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
· Responsible for developing leaders and their subordinates’ technical and leadership skills
· Ensures the rental fleet maintenance and repair activities are meeting company objectives for maintenance and repair costs and customer experience
· Collaborates with internal and external resources to create and deliver a responsive and effective Off Yard Maintenance and Repair customer experience
· Regularly visits branches to coach team and achieve the goals of the Heavy Rental Fleet
· Ensures team commitment to safety policies, procedures, and standards
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
· Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
· Interpersonal skills sufficient to engage with customers, vendors, own staff, and corporate executives to exchange information, influence and persuade
· Judgment and decision making skills to consider relative costs and benefits of potential actions, and the ability to determine the appropriate course of action
· Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
· Computer knowledge and/or experience including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook
· Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Education and Experience:
· High School or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or related field preferred
· Eight or more years of job-related experience required
· Three or more years of experience managing staff
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· This position manages the Rental Fleet Maintenance Supervisors and their reports. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; development of repair processes, coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Travel:
· 20% travel with overnight stays
· Valid driver’s license required
Physical Requirements:
· This position involves extended periods in the upright position; additionally, frequent walking, climbing, and reaching
· This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
· Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
· Ascends/descends with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climbs up and down ladders and/or equipment
· Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
Work Environment:
· Regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to weather extremes when working outdoors in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
· Noise level may be loud at times
· Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high speed rotating equipment
· Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment at times (PPE)
· Required to perform work in cramped spaces and/or high places
· Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
