Under direct supervision, provide intermediate technical software, hardware and peripheral problem resolution to all computer end users by performing question/problem diagnosis and guiding end user through step-by-step solutions. Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coverage for all calls and emails from users to Information Technology Help Desk and customer technical support during designated hours.
  • Troubleshoot intermediate level computer software, hardware and peripheral issues.
  • Log, document, resolve or refer technical questions and problems.
  • Coordinate with other IT personnel to resolve problems requiring escalation to the next level support. Update end users on status of problem resolution.
  • Acquire working knowledge of computer software, hardware and peripherals in order to support end users.
  • Night and weekend call is required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Travel based on business needs, which may include occasional overnight or extended travel.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

Requirements

  • 2 years minimum Help Desk experience required.
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.
  • Combination of education and professional experience required.
