Position: Help Desk Data Entry Analyst

Duration: 06 Months Contract(Hybrid)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Helpdesk Data Entry Analyst at IDOH plays a critical role in supporting public health initiatives by ensuring accurate and timely data entry while providing exceptional customer service.
This position serves as a key link between technology and end-users, assisting healthcare providers, public health staff, and other stakeholders in resolving system-related issues.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in data entry, customer service, and attention to detail to maintain clean, reliable health data. The role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to supporting public health systems and workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries from healthcare providers, public health agencies, and internal users regarding immunization records and system functionality.
- Investigate and resolve duplicate patient records and incorrect merges in the immunization registry.
- Utilize data tools and matching algorithms to identify and correct data integrity issues.
- Document all support interactions in the ticketing system and maintain accurate logs.
- Provide guidance to users on best practices for data entry and record management.
- Assist in testing system updates and enhancements.
Required and Desired Skills:
- 4 years Experience required in a helpdesk or healthcare support role
- 4 years Experience with deduplication tools, data matching, or record linkage techniques
- 4 years Experience Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- 4 years Experience Knowledgeable with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and Microsoft Office Suite
- 4 years Experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 4 years Experience Familiarity with immunization information systems(highly Desired)
- Nice to Have 4 years Experience working with state or local public health departments
- Nice to Have 4 years Experience Understanding of HIPAA and data privacy regulations
