Job Description:

The Help Desk / Network Administrator will provide hands-on technical support and network administration for a small, Windows-based organization. This role will support approximately 65 employees and a broad range of technology, including workstations, servers, networking equipment, phones, Wi-Fi, surveillance systems, door access systems, and business applications.

This position will provide day-to-day help desk support while also assisting with network and infrastructure administration. The role will manage user accounts and permissions, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, support Active Directory and Microsoft 365, maintain network equipment, and assist with server updates, patches, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a small technology team and wearing multiple hats. This position requires someone who can work independently, communicate effectively with users, troubleshoot problems quickly, and support both modern cloud services and legacy on-premises infrastructure. The environment includes Windows, approximately 50 servers, an on-premises Exchange server, file servers, application servers, SonicWall firewalls and routers, NETGEAR switches, Microsoft 365, and Entra.

Required Skills:

" 2 5 years of experience in a Help Desk or IT Support role

" 1 2 years of experience performing Network Administration duties

" Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows-based environments

" Working knowledge of networking, including routers, switches, firewalls, and general network administration

" Experience administering servers and Active Directory

" Experience with user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access management

" Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Entra

" Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues

" Experience supporting on-premises and legacy infrastructure

" Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365

" Strong logical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

" Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

" Excellent written and verbal communication skills

" Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Bonus/Soft Skills:

" Experience with SonicWall firewalls and routers

" Experience with NETGEAR switches

" Experience supporting Exchange, file servers, and application servers

" Experience with VMware or other virtualization technologies

" Scripting or automation experience

" Experience supporting disaster recovery and incident response activities

" Experience maintaining IT asset inventories and technical documentation

" Ability to work effectively in a small team and take ownership of multiple responsibilities

" Ability to provide hands-on support directly to users

" Flexibility to support occasional work outside normal business hours when required

" Experience working in a banking or financial services environment
