Help Desk Support – POS Systems


Location: Alliance, OH
Job Type: Full-Time


We are looking for a Help Desk Support Technician to assist customers with technical issues related to our Point of Sale (POS) computer systems. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues while providing excellent customer service.


Responsibilities


  • Provide phone and remote support for POS systems

  • Troubleshoot computers, printers, scanners, and cash drawers

  • Resolve software, Windows, and basic network issues

  • Document support tickets and solutions

  • Escalate complex issues when needed

Requirements


  • 1+ year of IT help desk or technical support experience preferred

  • Basic knowledge of Windows, networking, and computer hardware

  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills

  • Experience with POS systems or retail technology is a plus
Preferred Skills


  • Experience with retail or restaurant POS systems

  • Knowledge of payment processing or credit card terminal

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced support environment
Qualifications


  • 1–3 years of technical support or help desk experience preferred

  • Familiarity with POS systems, retail technology, or payment systems is a plus

  • Basic knowledge of:

    • Windows operating systems

    • Networking concepts (IP, routers, Wi-Fi)

    • Computer hardware and peripherals

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems logically and efficiently

  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems preferred
