We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Help Desk Technician to join our remote support team and assist employees with technical troubleshooting and IT support services.

Position Overview

The Help Desk Technician will provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, software, hardware, and remote connectivity. This role is responsible for resolving technical issues, maintaining system functionality, documenting support requests, and ensuring employees receive timely and effective assistance.

The ideal candidate is technically proficient, customer-focused, organized, and capable of troubleshooting issues in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote technical support for hardware, software, email, and network-related issues.

  • Respond to help desk tickets, troubleshoot technical problems, and resolve issues in a timely manner.

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, applications, and user accounts.

  • Assist employees with password resets, system access, and software troubleshooting.

  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and support activities accurately within ticketing systems.

  • Escalate unresolved technical issues to senior IT staff when necessary.

  • Support remote onboarding and setup for new employees.

  • Monitor system performance and report recurring technical issues or trends.

  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with company security and HIPAA policies.

  • Provide excellent customer service and technical guidance to end users.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in help desk support, IT support, desktop support, or technical troubleshooting preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and remote support tools.

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, hardware troubleshooting, and basic networking concepts.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize support requests effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Reliable internet connection and dedicated remote workspace required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or other IT certifications preferred.

  • Experience supporting remote employees and cloud-based systems.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and HIPAA compliance.

  • Experience with Google Workspace, VPNs, and remote desktop applications is a plus.
