PRODUCTION WORKER
This position is being advertised in St. Paul; however, the actual job location is in Prescott, approximately 30 minutes from St. Paul.
Position Summary
The Production Worker is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient production and packaging of assigned products. This position performs repetitive production duties while maintaining established standards for product quality, production efficiency, safety, and cost control.
The Production Worker helps ensure that customers receive products that meet all applicable specifications and quality standards. Employees in this position must follow all company, customer, safety, and procedural requirements.
Available Shifts and Pay
First Shift
Hours: 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Second Shift
Hours: 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Third Shift
Hours: 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Perform repetitive production and packaging tasks, including filling, sealing, boxing, labeling, packing, and subassembly.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, safety procedures, and all applicable workplace requirements.
Meet production goals and performance expectations established by the supervisor or manager.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures applicable to the assigned department and production process.
Inspect products and packaging to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.
Provide complete, accurate, and timely information to supervisors and other team members.
Immediately report injuries, unsafe equipment, hazardous conditions, and safety violations to management.
Follow all policies and procedures established by the employer, client, or contracted service provider.
Properly wear all required personal protective equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
Assist the supervisor with production-line setup and changeovers.
Learn to operate machinery and equipment associated with the assigned department.
Monitor products throughout the production process for quality concerns.
Report deficiencies involving product color, fragrance, consistency, labeling, packaging, or other quality requirements.
Follow production instructions and communicate problems that may affect safety, quality, or productivity.
Review job responsibilities regularly to ensure all position expectations are being met.
Shut down equipment, machinery, and lights at the end of the shift when assigned.
Help ensure that the department and production area are properly cleaned and secured at the end of the shift.
Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
Lift, move, and handle production materials and finished products as required by the position.
Qualifications
Previous manufacturing, production, packaging, warehouse, or assembly experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.
Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work the assigned shift and additional hours when required.
Ability to comply with all company, client, sanitation, quality, and safety requirements.
Reliable transportation to the Prescott work location is required.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing or production environment. Employees may work near operating machinery and may be exposed to noise, fragrances, cleaning products, varying temperatures, and other conditions commonly found in a production facility. Required personal protective equipment must be worn at all times.
