Our organization is in search of a Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Indiana.
- An active Indiana medical license or IMLC is essential.
- Candidates must hold Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology.
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, is required.
- The role is set in an outpatient clinic or office environment.
- On average, the physician will see around 30 patients each day.
Assignment Overview- Coverage Requirements:
- Daytime infusion coverage is needed.
- Evening call coverage is also part of the responsibilities.
- Type of Opportunity: This is a long-term assignment with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.
Essential Procedures- Management of VAD/CV catheters.
- Conducting bone marrow biopsies.
Key Responsibilities- Active participation in tumor board meetings.
- Overseeing bone marrow transplant procedures.
- Ordering necessary tests.
- Coordinating with the blood bank.
- Requesting imaging studies.
- Prescribing appropriate medications.
