Shift Type: Day Shift Job Duration: Locums About the Facility This mid-sized hospital facility offers comprehensive hematology and oncology services with established protocols for adverse drug reactions. The facility features on-site PET CT and hematology lab capabilities, with additional specialized testing including tumor markers and iron studies sent to external laboratories. About the Facility Location Virginia offers diverse regional attractions and outdoor recreation opportunities including year-round activities for hiking enthusiasts and families. About the Clinician's Workday The clinician will provide hematology and oncology services in a primarily outpatient setting with 24/7 inpatient consultation coverage through an on-call system. Responsibilities include participating in regular tumor conferences, including weekly Breast and Thoracic Tumor Boards and monthly GU and GYN Tumor Boards. The position offers opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration with Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Pathology, and Radiology departments. There is potential for a leadership role within the practice structure.
