Position Highlights
Join a collegial team of 3 board-certified Hematology/Oncology physicians
Practice in a hospital-based Cancer Center with onsite infusion and radiation therapy
No travel or split-site coverage - clinic and inpatient services all on one campus
Medical office suite attached to the hospital and Cancer Center for seamless care
Inpatient oncology unit with a certified oncology nursing team
Radiation oncologists onsite for collaborative treatment planning
21-chair infusion center with pharmacy support
UAB Cancer Care Network Affiliate with access to protocols and resources
Teaching opportunities with residents and medical students from ACOM
1:4 call rotation with full hospitalist support for admissions and general care
Practice Environment
420-bed tertiary referral center and Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) campus
Regional catchment area of 450,000+ across AL, GA, and FL
Advanced imaging: PET, 3T MRI, 64-slice CT, interventional radiology
Full spectrum of specialist support including neurosurgery, EP cardiology, and pain management
EMR: Cerner (hospital) and Athena (clinic)
Accredited Internal Medicine and Transitional Year residency programs
