Join Our Team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician and Make a Difference in Patient Care
We are seeking a dedicated and talented Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide exceptional care at our esteemed facilities in Chambersburg, PA. Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology (Double Board preferred)
- PA State Medical License or eligibility (IMLC accepted)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience; recent fellowship graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills for adult hematology and oncology cases
- Ability to perform port access procedures; bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures not required
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced outpatient and hospital consultation environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with targeted therapies and immunotherapy
- Familiarity with hospital-based inpatient and outpatient workflows
- Participation in tumor board discussions and multidisciplinary care planning
- Proficiency with Nuance dictation system
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Fellowship-trained in Hematology/Oncology
- Prior experience in an outpatient oncology setting
- Knowledge of infusion therapy, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, IVIG, and supportive injections
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to obtain state licensure; IMLC considered
- Availability for full-time, ongoing engagement (minimum 3 days/week)
- Flexibility to rotate through hospital inpatient consultation, outpatient clinic, and call coverage (one week/month)
- Participation in call schedule, including evenings and weekends (average 0-2 calls/day)
- Ability to manage a patient volume of approximately 15 patients/day, including new and follow-up cases
- Active participation in tumor board meetings and adherence to hospital protocols
