    Hematology / Oncology Physician Opportunity – Two Positions Available
    New Hartford, New York

    A healthcare organization in New Hartford is seeking two Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physicians to join a collaborative oncology care team. This opportunity offers the ability to provide comprehensive cancer care in a supportive clinical environment with access to modern diagnostic and treatment resources.

    Position Overview

    The Hematology/Oncology Physician will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of blood disorders and cancers. The role includes managing patient care plans, coordinating treatment with multidisciplinary teams, and providing compassionate support to patients and families throughout treatment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Diagnose and treat hematologic disorders and various types of cancer
    • Develop individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and other oncology treatments
    • Manage outpatient clinic visits and inpatient consultations as needed
    • Interpret laboratory tests, pathology reports, and diagnostic imaging
    • Coordinate care with surgeons, radiation oncologists, primary care providers, and other specialists
    • Monitor treatment response and adjust care plans accordingly
    • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and supportive care
    • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical collaboration

    Requirements

    General Requirements

    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
    • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program
    • Completion of an accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship program
    • Eligible for or able to obtain a New York medical license
    • Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
    • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
