An acute care hospital in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Hemodialysis Technologist to support patient care and hemodialysis equipment operations in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role involves assisting with dialysis treatments, monitoring equipment, maintaining supplies and logs, and supporting safe, compliant care delivery.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day shift

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday with alternate Saturdays

  • Hours: 3:15 PM - 11:30 PM

  • Setting: In-person, hospital

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the delivery of hemodialysis treatments under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

  • Perform patient care activities such as obtaining vital signs, weights, and related monitoring data.

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot hemodialysis equipment, machinery, and related systems.

  • Transport dialysis machines, portable equipment, supplies, and patients as needed within the hospital.

  • Maintain supply inventory, quality assurance logs, and unit storage areas while following infection control and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Completion of an approved training course in dialysis concepts, techniques, and procedures.

  • Current BONENT or CCHT certification.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dialysis technician.

  • Basic Life Support/CPR certification.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Fresenius 2008 T Blue Star Premium machines, Bi-Bag equipment, and portable WRO 300 H RO systems.

  • Hemodialysis machine training.

  • Successful completion of a PCT training course.

  • Computer skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
