An acute care hospital in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Hemodialysis Technologist to support patient care and hemodialysis equipment operations in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role involves assisting with dialysis treatments, monitoring equipment, maintaining supplies and logs, and supporting safe, compliant care delivery.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday - Friday with alternate Saturdays
Hours: 3:15 PM - 11:30 PM
Setting: In-person, hospital
Responsibilities:
Assist with the delivery of hemodialysis treatments under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Perform patient care activities such as obtaining vital signs, weights, and related monitoring data.
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot hemodialysis equipment, machinery, and related systems.
Transport dialysis machines, portable equipment, supplies, and patients as needed within the hospital.
Maintain supply inventory, quality assurance logs, and unit storage areas while following infection control and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an approved training course in dialysis concepts, techniques, and procedures.
Current BONENT or CCHT certification.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dialysis technician.
Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Fresenius 2008 T Blue Star Premium machines, Bi-Bag equipment, and portable WRO 300 H RO systems.
Hemodialysis machine training.
Successful completion of a PCT training course.
Computer skills.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
