Hepatology APP Position - Charlotte, NC

We are looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, preferably with a background in GI, hepatology/transplant or internal medicine, to join our established hepatology practice in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will find a supportive leadership team and excellent colleagues in a team-oriented environment.

Position Highlights:

• This is mainly outpatient care, Monday-Fridays 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. However, there may be occasional inpatient coverage on Monday-Fridays several times a year.
• 4.5 clinic days per week
• 0.5 administrative time
• Patient volume: 12-14.

Practice Environment:

• Morehead Medical Plaza office location
• Team includes 5 MDs, 3 APP at the site
• Supportive leadership team, highly experienced colleagues

Responsibilities:

• Provide hepatology care to adult patients
• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and APP colleagues
• Participate in team-based care delivery and clinical coordination
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and patient experience
• Provide hepatology care to adult patients

Qualifications

• Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• North Carolina licensure (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum of 2 years of APP experience required
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Atrium Health Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its growing, well-established outpatient gastroenterology team in the Charlotte metro area. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a large, collaborative group with diverse subspecialty expertise and a strong focus on work-life balance.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Experienced APPs with at least 2 years of gastroenterology, hepatology/transplant or internal medicine experience are preferred.
• State Licensure Requirement: NC.
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required.
• Physician Assistant - Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, Master's Degree. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
• APP who demonstrates appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
• APP who can prioritize and make proactive decisions.

Hepatology APP - Charlotte, NC Atrium Health Gastroenterology & Hepatology is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a well-established hepatology practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. This primarily outpatient position offers an excellent work-life balance with a Monday-Friday schedule, 4.5 clinic days per week, dedicated administrative time, and only occasional inpatient coverage. The APP will provide comprehensive hepatology care to adult patients while collaborating closely with a team of five physicians and three APPs in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Qualified candidates should have at least two years of APP experience, preferably in hepatology, gastroenterology, transplant medicine, or internal medicine, along with strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
