    What does a HEX Team Leader do at Rinnai?

    The Team Lead position is responsible and accountable for assisting the Group Leader in achieving production requirements for work groups in the HEX areas by focusing on service, quality, and ability through scheduling and coordinating workflow, supporting employee training, providing employee guidance and motivation, following through of delegated work, and providing input on employee performance and guidance and motivation, following through of delegated work, and providing input on employee performance and other duties as assigned.

    • This position is located at 500 Lakes Parkway Griffin, GA.
    • Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm with required overtime.
    • Schedule: Monday - Friday

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Continuously audits work centers for adherence to documentation. ·
    • Assists in identifying and escalating opportunities for scrap reduction. Reviews completed work orders for accuracy. ·
    • Performs daily departmental tasks (including all HEX operator tasks) when not performing Lead/ Supervisor/Shift Trainer responsibilities. ·
    • Provides recognition to employees. Assists to ensure employee development training/cross training is provided with documentation for effective performance.
    • Assists to proactively address issues with employees, settling disputes and conflicts among team members where appropriate.
    • Adheres to Company policies, procedures, and cultural beliefs. Provides input to Manager with employee performance and corrective actions.
    • Assists with coordinating effective delegation of work assignments and training. Conduct shift start up, turnover and other meetings as required. ·
    • Focuses on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system quality.
    • Adheres to standards and implements use of continual improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities. Participates actively in continuous improvement activities such as 5s, Kaizen events, etc.
    • Assists in investigating and evaluating quality defects as assigned and in determining appropriate actions to be taken.
    • Assists with recommending and implementing solutions to improve quality of products. Assists in writing document changes and manufacturing/part/work instructions.
    • Promotes direct action to ensure safety of employees and visitors within company.
    • Monitors work area and employees' performance for adherence to safety procedures, work restrictions, cleanliness, and potential hazards.
    • Submits reports and observations.
    • Monitor timecard entries for accuracies which includes break adherence, attendance and PTO approvals when needed.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    KNOWLEDGE

    • 2 Year technical degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years Manufacturing experience required.
    • Previous leadership experience.
    • Preferred 1-year industrial process furnace experience.
    • Continuous improvement knowledge (preferred)
    • Operate automated production line equipment.
    • Ability to hand braze or be trained to do so.

    SKILLS

    • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
    • Ability to operate hand tools efficiently
    • Ability to learn and rotate through all HEX line and support roles
    • Desired ability to operate large overhead power cranes
    • Ability to use precision measuring devices

    ABILITIES

    • Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency.
    • Work efficiently self-directed or in a team environment.
    • Ability to safely lift 50 pounds.
    • Work cooperatively within a team environment
    • Flexible work hours to account for over time as needed
    • Ability to wear all required PPE

    Physical Requirements:

    Physical Activities

    • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
    • Constantly assessing accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.

    Environment Conditions

    • Occasional high and low temperatures, noisy or hazardous environments, and small enclosed spaces.

    Physical Demands

    • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
    • Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds unassisted
