HGV CLASS 1 CONTAINER DRIVER

***HGV CONTAINER DRIVER WANTED***

Here at The Best Connection we are looking for experienced Container Drivers to join our client based in Southampton docks. This is an ongoing role, with potential to go full time with a contract.

Salary - £17.00 per hour / £34.00 overtime

Location - Southampton

Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday

Start Time - working days or nights


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

- Delivering and collecting containers from the dock

- Entering and exiting the docks

- Day or Night trunking up to the midlands

- No hand-balling involved

- Vehicle checks, making sure the containers are secured

- Reporting any issues to the night manager

- Start time differ depending on route/run


WHAT IS REQUIRED/BENEFITS:

- Full UK Class 1 licence

- CPC & DIGI required

- Valid DP World Card

- Must complete driving assessment & induction

- Container experience is essential

- Must have been in and out of the docks

- Good communication skills

- Good numeracy and literacy skills

- On-site parking

- Ongoing work, with overtime on weekends
