Job Title: HHP Assembly Technician
Location: Mebane, NC
Shift: 2nd 1p-9p M-F
Shift: 3rd 9p-5a Sun-Thurs
Pay: $18.00


Position Summary:
The High Horse Power Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and testing components used in high-horsepower cooling systems and heat exchangers. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assemble high-horsepower cooling systems, heat exchangers, and related components according to specifications.
  • Read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring equipment to complete assemblies.
  • Install hoses, fittings, brackets, fans, motors, electrical components, and other hardware as required.
  • Perform mechanical assembly, fastening, routing, and component installation.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for proper fit, alignment, torque, and overall workmanship.
  • Perform pressure, leak, functional, or other required testing on completed assemblies.
  • Identify and report defective components, assembly issues, or quality concerns.
  • Make adjustments or rework assemblies as necessary to meet quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work closely with other production team members, quality personnel, and supervisors to meet production goals.
  • Perform other assembly and manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience working with mechanical components, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
