Job Title: High Ability Teacher Location: Hamilton Elementary School School Year: 2026-2027 Position Type: Full-Time Position Overview Hamilton Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and innovative High Ability Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The High Ability Teacher will support and extend learning opportunities for students identified as high ability by providing differentiated instruction, enrichment experiences, and collaboration with classroom teachers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about meeting the academic and social-emotional needs of advanced learners while helping all students reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction and enrichment opportunities for identified high-ability students. Collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate instruction and support advanced learners within the general education classroom. Develop and implement engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Use student data to help identify high-ability students and monitor their academic growth. Support the implementation of the schools high ability program and ensure alignment with state and district guidelines. Work with staff to provide strategies and resources that support high-ability learners. Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff regarding student progress and programming. Participate in professional development related to gifted education and instructional best practices. Perform other duties as assigned by the building administration. Qualifications Valid Indiana teaching license. High Ability/Gifted and Talented endorsement or willingness to obtain a High Ability endorsement is preferred. Strong understanding of differentiation, enrichment, and instructional strategies for advanced learners. Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families. Strong organizational, communication, and instructional skills. Preferred Characteristics Experience working with high-ability or advanced learners.
