The purpose of this job description is to establish and define the authority, accountability, reporting relationships, responsibilities, and measures of performance of the Installation Specialist position of WG Storage & Delivery.
Summary
The HIgh End Mover/Delivery Driver's primary focus is to effectively pick up, deliver, pack, move, and install our clients' furniture & artwork while ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction and quality of service under the direction of the Project Coordinator or Delivery Coordinator. Reports directly to the Field Manager and on any project to the lead Project Coordinator/Delivery Coordinator.

  • Primary Duties
  • Pass down all company and job/installation information to your Team.
  • Attend, contribute and provide leadership to location team meetings for goal setting, planning, and organization for operations.
Condition Reports, BOL's, Supply Lists, ADV Forms, Invoices, Matrix, etc.
  • Tracks and logs time, materials, and tools for invoicing for each job
  • (tagging, photography, measurements, inventory, consolidation to pallets/vaults)
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of truck, kits, and supplies daily and disposes of trash appropriately
  • Be present to teach staff in any furniture & artwork handling, installing, packing, and/or moving techniques
  • Prepares for the job with the assigned staff
  • Ensures the proper handling of client's furniture & artwork exercising Company procedures
  • Provides situational & proactive problem solving for installation, packing, & moving issues
  • Uses tools & equipment effectively and efficiently
  • Manages vehicle driving practices, and driver's safety
  • Report all damages in a timely manner
  • Completes damage reports within 24 hours
  • Develops solutions in collaboration with clients, manufacturers, subcontractors, vendors, internal company resources, and management team members.

  • Trains team members in pro-active damage control strategies

  • Furniture & artwork handling: installing, packing, moving, storage, shipping & crating

  • Participates in cross-training throughout the operations team

  • Perform administrative office duties as needed to complete documentation of work

  • Is efficient with time, materials, and methods to ensure Company's profitability

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of two to three years of work experience, preferably with customer service and supervisory experience. Delivery, packing, moving, and installations background and experience strongly preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read. Ability to interact effectively with inquiries or complaints from other team members regarding all business issues & operating concerns.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to understand and use basic math.
COMPUTER SKILLS
None needed.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to make reasonable decisions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid State of Texas driver's license and insurance. Background check: must be able and willing to pass a criminal background check and the drug screen test.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, crouch, climb stairs, talk, and hear. The employee is required to lift/carry objects of up to 100 pounds. The employee is also required to have average dexterity to use arms, hands, and fingers to handle, feel and reach. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, hazardous equipment and chemicals, and the risk of electrical shock from equipment or power sources, and related items. The noise level in the work environment is at times loud. Travel between sites is sometimes required exposing the employee to traffic and road hazards.
WORK HOURS:
Usually scheduled at forty (40) hours per week with occasional extra hours according to job demands which may include occasional weekends. Actual daily hours will be defined by the project and scheduling demands as assigned and will normally range between 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. Additional hours may be needed for training, meetings, and special projects or to meet deadlines and commitments. Must be able to travel to include potential overnight or out of state trips up to 25% of time.
