The Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Council (MOVRC) is a governmental planning and development agency serving Calhoun, Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Tyler, Wirt, and Wood counties in west-central West Virginia, also known as Region V. Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of the Mid-Ohio Valley citizens, current and next-generation leaders, and organizations to innovate, collaborate, and advance community and economic development. Member Duties : The member will work with designated counties to build capacity for outreach and coordination, specifically to build Talent Ecosystem Infrastructure. This will include scheduling and facilitating meetings and researching programs. The member will work largely with schools and community organizations. The Talent Ecosystem aims to place multiple high school students in internships with local businesses. The member will also focus on identifying community assets that support talent ecosystems. The member will work each student through a series of sessions designed to support the student at various points throughout the internship process. Each student will receive at least 10 hours of contact over a semester of the school year.
