Position: High School Athletic Coach

Description

The Athletic Coach is responsible for leading and developing a successful athletic program that supports the academic, social, emotional, and athletic growth of student-athletes. Coaches are expected tomodel professionalism, sportsmanship, integrity, and leadership while creating a safe, structured, and positive team culture aligned with the mission and vision of the school athletic program.

Coaches must promote student-athlete development, academic accountability, discipline, teamwork, and a college-ready mindset through daily instruction, communication, and program leadership.

  • Collaborate with administration on scheduling, compliance, and program growth
  • Support offseason development, conditioning, and athlete retention
Requirements

Qualifications
  • Previous coaching and/or playing experience preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and administration
  • Knowledge of sport-specific rules, strategies, and player development
  • Ability to supervise and manage student-athletes effectively
  • Must meet all district and athletic compliance requirements
Work Expectations
  • Availability for practices, games, meetings, and team events outside regular school hours
  • Ability to travel for athletic events as assigned
  • Ability to supervise students in indoor and outdoor athletic environments
  • Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and conduct at all times
