Summary:We are seeking an enthusiastic and student-focused High School Biology Teacher to inspire the next generation of scientists and critical thinkers. What You'll Do:- Teach high school Biology courses aligned with state curriculum standards.
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that incorporate laboratory investigations, scientific inquiry, and technology.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students.
- Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments while providing timely feedback.
- Create a safe and effective laboratory environment that follows all science safety protocols.
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and scientific communication skills.
- Integrate educational technology and digital resources into daily instruction.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, attendance, and progress reports.
- Communicate regularly with parents, administrators, and support staff regarding student performance.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and collaborative planning activities.
Experience You'll Need:- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Science Education, or a related field.
- Valid New Jersey Teacher of Biology Certification required.
- Previous experience teaching Biology at the high school level preferred.
- Strong knowledge of biology curriculum, laboratory instruction, and scientific methodology.
- Experience developing standards-based lesson plans and assessments.
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to integrate instructional technology into classroom learning.
