Position Details
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a background in the area of Track & Field
- Must have basic knowledge of fundamentals in all field events and running
- Must be willing to work closely with HS coaches in implementing the teaching of fundamentals as prescribed by the varsity track program
- Must work with coaches in conducting home track meets, including middle school events
- Assist in the design of a daily and weekly practice schedule with specific goals for team and individual development
- Skills in the organization and execution of a practice plan
- Expected to participate in the athletic department's fundraising efforts
- Effectively communicate with players, parents, and administration
- Must model appropriate behavior, promoting at all times the social, emotional, and moral well-being of CPS student-athletes
- Must have First Aid and CPR certification on file prior to the start of the 2027 season
- Coach must adhere to Athletic Code for Coaches, as stated in the MHSAA Handbook
- Two years track coaching experience preferred
- Background in athletics preferred
- Pass background check
