Job Details High School Business Teacher 26-27
Fisher Jr.Sr. High School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Business Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for preparing students with real-world skills in business technology and financial literacy. This position includes teaching a variety of business-related courses including Business Ventures Web Design Accounting Personal Finance Computer Concepts and a Dual Credit First Year Experience course in partnership with a local community college.
Duties

If Qualified
• Design and implement project-based learning experiences that promote critical thinking and problem-solving. • Maintain a classroom culture focused on respect, responsibility, and relevance. • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction based on student needs. • Collaborate with colleagues in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). • Maintain communication with parents/guardians and support students academic and career readiness. • Stay current on industry trends and continually seek to improve curriculum offerings. • Supervise and/or advise extracurricular clubs or activities related to business as needed.
Qualifications
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Business Marketing and Computer Education endorsement. • Demonstrated content knowledge and ability to teach a variety of business-related courses. • Ability to build positive relationships with students and support diverse learning needs. • Strong organizational, communication, and technology integration skills.
Salary and Benefits As per the BOE approved teachers contract - Salary Schedule District-paid 100 TRS Health Insurance Tuition Reimbursement
