CRSD operates on a 4-day school week with Mondays off. The High School Dean of Students manages student discipline, attendance, and school safety, while supporting school culture and administration. Responsibilities include handling disciplinary referrals, enforcing policies, supervising student activities, and collaborating with staff/parents for behavioral resolutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Discipline and Behavior Management: Managing student behavior, implementing positive behavioral interventions, and overseeing in-school suspensions.
- Attendance and Supervision: Monitoring daily attendance, tardiness, and supervising students during lunches, passing periods, and extracurricular events.
- School Climate and Safety: Collaborating on school safety plans, conducting drills, and fostering a positive school culture.
- Liaison Duties: Acting as a contact between students, teachers, parents, and administrators for student-related issues.
- Student Support: Assisting with student support teams, counseling interventionists, and student-focused events.
Certification: QUALIFICATIONS
- Must meet AR licensure requirements.
- Administrator licensure, preferred.
- Master's Degree, preferred.
- Relevant years of successful experience as a classroom teacher required.
- Effective leadership skills and experiences.
- Proven background in instruction, assessment, and professional development.
- Satisfactory computer skills and strong interpersonal skills
Experience: Previous teaching experience and/or leadership/coaching experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's in Educational Leadership preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
Contract Specifics
Arkansas positions require extended contracts, such as 220 days.
