High School ELA Teacher

Revere Public Schools is seeking a passionate and engaging High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher who believes that literacy is the foundation for academic success, critical thinking, and effective communication. The ideal candidate creates an inclusive, intellectually engaging classroom where students read diverse texts, write for authentic purposes, and develop the skills to think critically, communicate clearly, and engage thoughtfully with the world around them.

Qualifications:

• MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education licensure in English Grade 5-12 and SEI Endorsement.
• Excellent computer/technology skills with the ability to utilize various computer software and app programs.
• Committed to the vision of high expectations for achievement, equal access to high levels of instruction, the achievement of academic and linguistic proficiency for all students, and the closing of the opportunity gap
• A self-reflective, active learner capable of interactive dialogue with all members of the school community.
• Strong foundation in student-centered pedagogy and culturally responsive teaching practices.
• Candidates must be flexible and collaborative and have well-established verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to share information and resources as appropriate, including strong written communication skills.
