Welcome to the Banta Unified School District where we are proud of our long history in education. The district is one of the oldest districts in the county having been founded to serve area students in the late 1800s. Through the years Banta has remained a small K-8 school district focused on meeting the needs of its diverse student population. Job Summary
Banta Unified School District is seeking an engaging and student-centered High School English Teacher to provide rigorous standards-aligned instruction in literature, writing, and language development. The ideal candidate fosters a classroom environment where students think critically, communicate effectively, and develop strong reading and writing skills that prepare them for college, career, and civic life.
Responsibilities include:
• Designing meaningful lessons aligned to the California Common Core ELA Standards • Differentiating instruction for diverse learners • Assessing student progress • Collaborating with colleagues to support a strong instructional program • Supporting students in building analytical skills, developing academic vocabulary, and engaging in rich discussions and writing tasks
A valid California Single Subject Credential in English is required.
