Dodgeland High School is seeking applicants for the head wrestling coaching position. The coach will oversee the development and maintenance of a highly competitive wrestling program at the high school level. The job expectations and responsibilities for this position include:
Exhibit exceptional leadership/mentorship skills that will constantly be a positive influence on high school student-athletes. Through this role, the coach will exhibit enthusiasm for the sport and will develop not only great wrestlers, but great leaders for their program.
Maintain a positive and competitive culture that supports all aspects of adolescent health and well-being. This culture will have a balance of optimal competitiveness, teamwork, work ethic, commitment… All while every wrestler enjoys being part of the team.
Understands, supports, and promotes the importance of the multi-sport athlete and its effects on the overall athletic program and school community.
Developing a supportive community with quality relationships with student-athletes, parents, district staff, Dodgeland community members, as well as the local youth club wrestling program.
Planning and operating practices focused on maximizing the potential of each wrestler and consequently the entire team.
Using their knowledge of the sport to assist each wrestler as best as they can during every match.
Goal oriented with the vision of being competitive at all times, increasing the participation numbers, and advancing wrestlers in post-season tournament play.
