Revere High School is seeking a passionate and engaging High School History Teacher who believes that studying history helps students better understand the world, think critically, and become informed, active citizens. The ideal candidate creates an inclusive, intellectually challenging classroom where students analyze historical events, evaluate multiple perspectives, and develop strong reading, writing, discussion, and research skills.
Qualifications:
- MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education licensure in History/Social Studies Grade 5-12 and SEI Endorsement.
- Excellent computer/technology skills with the ability to utilize various computer software and app programs.
- Committed to the vision of high expectations for achievement, equal access to high levels of instruction, the achievement of academic and linguistic proficiency for all students, and the closing of the opportunity gap
- A self-reflective, active learner capable of interactive dialogue with all members of the school community.
- Strong foundation in student-centered pedagogy and culturally responsive teaching practices.
- Candidates must be flexible and collaborative and have well-established verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to share information and resources as appropriate, including strong written communication skills.
