Job Details

Wilmington High School is currently seeking applications for an Industrial Arts teaching vacancy for the 2026-2027 school year. The candidate must have experience in home construction and carpentry. The primary teaching assignment is a home building project from start to finish. This construction course provides experience and activities designed around safety power tools and construction-related math. Emphasis will be placed on footings and foundations, masonry, framing, sheathing, wiring, plumbing, and siding.

Qualifications

Previous experience and knowledge in home building - carpentry and other construction-related areas. Successful applicants should possess or be eligible for an appropriate Illinois Professional Educator License and/or a required Provisional License.
