POSITION: CORE LEAD MATHEMATICS 2026-2027 School Year LOCATION: HUNTINGTOWN HIGH SCHOOL
JOB SUMMARY The Mathematics Core Lead teaches three periods a day, one of which must be a Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) Course. The Core Lead assists other content-specific teachers in improving student learning in Algebra, Geometry, and foundational learning courses.
It is an expectation of this position to team with other Core Leads in their building and across the school system to:
Core Leads also facilitate dialogue among teachers and lead student data analysis conferences. Core Leads are expected to attend bi-monthly meetings coordinated by the Central Office.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Position requires significant periods of standing and walking and is performed in a typical school environment.
UNUSUAL DEMANDS May be subject to flexible work schedule.
FLSA STATUS Exempt.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Ten (10) month position and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience applied to the current Calvert County Public Schools salary schedule for teachers, plus summer days as determined by need. If chosen for this position, the candidate must enroll in direct deposit.
EVALUATION Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the policy on evaluation as established by the Calvert County Public Schools.
