  • The teacher salary schedule is based on teaching experience.
  • Starts at Bachelors: $53,000.
  • Masters: $54,000 with 0 years of experience.

JOB EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Position Purpose / Description The Teacher is responsible for teaching groups of students in a classroom setting based on a curriculum and supported by instructional materials. The Teacher is responsible for developing daily lesson plans to ensure that the Teacher covers the curricular content in a timely manner throughout the semester or school year. The Teacher uses various instructional methods and techniques to meet the unique needs of the individual students and to assess their learning. The Teacher modifies instruction, re-teaches, and remediates to ensure the students success.

Essential Functions

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver standards-aligned instruction that meets the diverse learning needs of students in assigned subject areas.
  • Assess, monitor, and document student progress through multiple measures, maintaining accurate records and providing timely feedback to students and families.
  • Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, social-emotional development, and academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, support staff, and caregivers to support student learning.

Additional Duties

  • Supervise students during non-instructional time, including hallway transitions, lunch periods, or assigned duties before and after school.
  • Maintain classroom materials and technology.
  • Submit required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by building administration.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep content knowledge in assigned subject areas and understanding of adolescent development and evidence-based instructional practices.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction for students with varying academic levels, English language learners, students with disabilities, and other diverse learners.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with students, families, and colleagues, maintaining professional standards.
  • Proficiency with instructional technology, learning management systems, and data analysis tools to enhance instruction and track student outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Spanish/English bi-lingual preferred.
  • Experience teaching math in Spanish preferred.
