Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Math Teacher to join our team at Eau Claire Middle/High School for the 2026/2027 calendar year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a strong foundation in mathematical concepts, foster critical thinking skills, and encourage a love for learning. This full-time position requires a commitment to academic excellence and the ability to engage students in a dynamic learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards.

  • Teach a variety of math subjects, including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and Statistics, to high school students.

  • Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.

  • Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.

  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and progress.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum changes.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.

  • Supervise and mentor students, providing guidance and support as needed.

  • Contribute to the school community through involvement in extracurricular activities and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.

  • Valid teaching certification or license in Mathematics for high school level.

  • Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and effective teaching strategies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for students.

  • Experience in teaching high school mathematics preferred.

  • Proficiency in using educational technology and software.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
