Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Tri Jr.-Sr. High School Principal, the Secondary Math Teacher provides engaging instruction that promotes student achievement in mathematics while supporting students academic, social, and emotional growth. The teacher prepares students for success in post-secondary education, careers, and lifelong learning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
Deliver rigorous mathematics instruction aligned with state standards and student needs.
Utilize effective classroom management and evidence-based instructional practices.
Analyze student data and assessments to guide instruction and monitor progress.
Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
Collaborate with colleagues, special education staff, and support personnel to meet student needs.
Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
Uphold school policies, procedures, and expectations.
Demonstrate professionalism, organization, and strong interpersonal skills.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
Qualifications
Valid Indiana Secondary Mathematics Teaching License or ability to obtain licensure.
Bachelors degree or higher required.
Successful completion of criminal history and Department of Child Services background checks.
