Position Overview:
Vernon ISD is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Geometry Teacher for Vernon High School. The ideal candidate will provide engaging instruction, foster critical thinking, and support student success in mathematics.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Geometry
- Deliver instruction that meets the diverse learning needs of students
- Use data-driven practices to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with campus staff, parents, and administration to support student achievement
- Participate in professional development and campus activities
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
