Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated educational leader to oversee the operations of Alcona Middle/High School. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment, promoting academic excellence, and supporting the social and emotional development of students. This full-time position requires a visionary leader who can collaborate effectively with staff, students, parents, and the community to enhance the educational experience for all.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs and curricula that meet the needs of all students.

  • Foster a positive school culture that encourages student engagement, respect, and inclusivity.

  • Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff, providing support and professional development opportunities to enhance instructional practices.

  • Collaborate with teachers to develop effective teaching strategies and assess student learning outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as district policies and procedures.

  • Manage the school budget, allocating resources effectively to support educational initiatives and programs.

  • Communicate regularly with parents, students, and the community to promote transparency and engage stakeholders in the educational process.

  • Lead school improvement initiatives and assess the effectiveness of programs and practices through data analysis.

  • Promote a safe and secure learning environment by implementing and overseeing safety protocols and emergency preparedness plans.

  • Serve as a liaison between the school and district administration, advocating for the needs of the school community.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education Administration or a related field.

  • Valid administrative certification or licensure as required by the state.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in educational leadership, preferably in a middle or high school setting.

  • Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse groups.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support a team of educators and staff.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment that supports the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.

  • Familiarity with current educational trends, technology integration, and best practices in school leadership.
