POSITION OPENING: High School Physical Education Teacher â Inspire and Empower Young Minds!

AHS 1.0 FTE Physical Education Teacher

WHAT WE NEED:

1. Valid State Teacher Certification Granted by the Professional Teaching Standards Board.

2. Bachelor's Degree with major or minor in Physical Education (000Mb) and Health (000MA) or, 000MX.

3. LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

4. Evidence of ability to establish working relationships that result in mutual respect.

5. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.

6. Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.

WHAT YOU NEED:

1. Works cooperatively with administrators, student services personnel and teachers, to ensure the delivery of

curriculum

2. Assist students with selection of appropriate academic courses.

3. Provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil, to

the extent feasible.

4. Maintains control of storage and use of school-owned property.

5. Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district, and/or in self-

selected professional growth activities.

6. Communicates with parents and school counselors on pupil progress.

7. Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs.

8. Other duties as assigned by the principal.
