Responsibilities include:

  • Provide visionary instructional leadership for grades 912 and foster a culture of high expectations, continuous improvement, and student success.
  • Supervise and evaluate certified and non-certified staff in accordance with district expectations and Connecticut educator evaluation requirements.
  • Lead curriculum implementation, instructional improvement, assessment practices, and professional learning initiatives.
  • Utilize student achievement, attendance, behavioral, and school climate data to inform decision-making and improve outcomes for all learners.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that addresses the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
  • Prepare and manage the school budget and oversee the effective use of building resources, supplies, and facilities.
  • Serve as a visible and accessible leader who fosters positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders.
  • Communicate with the Superintendent, district leadership team, Board of Education, families, and community members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Connecticut Intermediate Administrator and Supervisor Certificate (092) required.
  • Record of successful experience as a teacher and educational leader at the secondary level.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and school improvement practices.
  • Strong supervision, evaluation, coaching, and professional development skills.
  • Experience utilizing data to drive instructional and organizational decision-making.
  • Strong organizational, budgeting, and operational management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with students, staff, families, and community stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with educational technology and data management systems.

SALARY: Per NFAA Contract
