Whitewater High School seeks a dedicated Biology and Physical Science teacher for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond. Applicants must be committed to continuous improvement and skilled at fostering mutually respectful relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and community members. The ideal candidate for this teaching position will be familiar with state and professional academic standards and have a firm grasp of best instructional practices.
Candidates will be skilled collaborators and join a school community committed to the PLC process and living our mission for all students. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate successful use of assessment data to guide instruction and foster student ownership for learning. Additional consideration will be given to candidates willing to pursue transcripted course certification(s) through our local technical college partnerships. Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate:
Familiarity with state standards in all relevant subject area disciplines;
Creativity, enthusiasm and a high degree of energy;
Ability to develop community partnerships;
Understand the use of technologies that can personalize learning for students and enhance critical thinking (i.e. Chromebooks, Google Apps);
The ability to provide a safe, positive and engaging learning environment for students;
A positive approach to problem-solving, collaboration, teamwork, and respect
Preference will be given to candidates who are multilingual and have experience working with diverse student populations
