High School Science Teacher Full-Time

School: Academy of Mount St. Ursula Location: Bronx, New York Salary: $55,000 based on experience Medical Benefits: Yes Start Date: September 2026

The Academy of Mount St. Ursula, an all-girls Catholic high school conducted in the Ursuline tradition and located in the Bronx, needs a science teacher for the upcoming school year (September 2026 - June 2027). Responsibilities

  • Teach Regents Living Environment, Biology, AP Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and/or Earth Science.
  • Prepare students for Regents and AP exams.
  • Deliver engaging standards-aligned lessons with hands-on lab experiences.
  • Differentiate instruction and monitor student progress.
  • Incorporate and support AMSUs Catholic values and mission in teaching and interactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Biology, Science Education, or related field.
  • Masters preferred.
  • NYS Science Teaching Certification required.
  • Regents/AP teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
